What is a Free Look Period?
The Free Look Period is the required period in which a new insurance policy owner can terminate the policy without any penalties, such as surrender charges. A free look period often lasts ten (10) days depending on the insurer.
During the free look period, you can decide whether or not to keep the insurance policy. If you are not satisfied and wish to cancel, the policy purchaser can receive a full refund.
