Smart Tips For Allstate Policy Holders

Below are our Smart Tips for using your new plan!

*FIRST – Find your “Welcome” email from Allstate and print out your insurance card from the portal.  

*Permanent ID cards can take up to 3 weeks. 

*Please take a moment and confirm that you are enrolled in the correct plan/s.  We can review this information with you if you’d like assistance.

Ask us! If you are having difficulty, we can email a pdf to you, for your convenience.  Please give us 24 hours to process your request.

*SECOND (using the LIFE Association email with login buttons)

*Find your “LIFE Association” email and print out your “WellCard” for your prescription discounts. 

*Look for/Click on the blue button:  Get My WellCard Savings 

*It only has the primary insured person’s name on it.  

*You need to register this card prior to using it.

Did you know?  Some states require short-term carriers to include services such as a preventive annual screening type of mammogram, while some states do not require this.

Did you know?  The insurance company will apply the “usual and customary fees” for out-of-network providers to your out-of-network deductible.  

Did you know?  There are times that doctor’s offices do not direct the bill correctly.  Be sure they use the Allstate/Meritain address on the back of your insurance card (not Aetna and not your LIFE Association card).

Did you know?  Only you can make changes to your plan(s).

IMPORTANT:  Your supplements, such as “TrioMED,” and benefits such as LIFE Association will continue to be available to you even after your STM health insurance has expired.  If you wish to cancel these supplements, please contact Allstate.  Unfortunately, we can not do this on your behalf.

Did you know?  The payment date defaults to 4 – 5 days before the date of the month that the policy started.  So, you can expect payments to be drawn similarly in the future.

Did you know?  Your insurance carrier will send you an EOB (Explanation of Benefits).  

This will help you understand which charges on the doctor’s bill they will cover.  

Remember to work with your doctor’s office, immediately upon receipt of the bill, to begin paying the part of the bill that is your responsibility. 

With your Natgen Plan you have a “Life Association” membership and they have patient advocacy which help negotiate hospital bills. We highly recommend contacting them to help if your EOB explains that you have a large amount to pay. (If your bill goes into collections they can no longer help!!!)(Click here
